The Lightning Thief

This book has mystery, adventure, humor, and Greek Gods.
Percy Jackson, an ordinary boy goes to a field trip to a museum. He is attacked by a Fury, who was his math teacher. He manages to vaporize it with his pen? His best friend, Grover is a satyr, and his Latin teacher, a centaur. When Percy and his mother go for a weekend retreat to the beach, their time together is interrupted by a storm and a horrible wailing in the middle of the night. Grover appears at their door and reveals himself as a satyr. He insists that Percy has to go to Camp Half Blood in order to remain safe. On their way to camp, they are attacked by a Minotaur. Percy defeats the monster, but not before it knocks out Grover and squeezes Percy's mother until she disappears in a shower of gold.
At the camp he finds out that Zeus's master bolt, the weapon upon which all other lightning bolts are modeled, has been stolen. The lord of the sky believes that Poseidon has used Percy to steal it.
Find out if Percy is able to find his mother or is she dead? Will he be able to prove his innocence about not stealing Zeus's lightning bolt?
